First and most important rule to remember when using a Heddon surface lure: Be patient! After your lure hits the water, pause a few seconds before starting your retrieve, pausing between cranks of your reel handle. If that action does not produce a strike, use a "steady" retrieve. Be ready for an explosive strike!
